Amy grew up in Indiana, PA. She is a 1990 graduate of the Indiana University of Pennsylvania. She continued on to get her law degree at Ohio Northern University School of Law and graduated in 1993.

After receiving her law degree, she entered into a private practice for several years focusing on family law, and a general civil practice. Deciding for a change, she taught the Paralegal Program at Bradford School in Pittsburgh, PA until 2005.
Ready to come home, Amy returned to Indiana, and worked as the Director of the Indiana County Domestic Relations Office for almost 13 years when she then decided to return to private practice by joining Kayden & Vaporis, LLC.
She has been admitted to the bar in two states: Illinois and Pennsylvania.
